As you can probably imagine, many of the posts on this blog will be dedicated to firsts--first smile, first steps, first bath, etc. While it may seem like a bit over the top, we as new parents have to document every new thing! So, here are a few of our firsts over the last week:
Here we are reading our first book. I hate to admit it, but yes, it took me 3 weeks to read a book to Ellen. Not such a good example as a teacher! Anyway, we were having some tummy time & decided to read a book together. We chose "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" since Ellen is always hungry! She enjoyed it until she got hungry again!
We also had our first sleepover at Grandma Nancy's--well, sort of--Mommy & Daddy were there, too. We had to have our shower repainted again (yes, again!) & when they paint it, it stinks! I didn't want Ellen to be around those fumes, so we asked Grandma if we could spend the night. We had a nice family dinner & hung out together before heading off to bed. Ellen did great. In the future, I'm sure she will have many wonderful sleepovers with Grandma--and without Mommy & Daddy!
