Nursery Tour

I've been meaning to post this since before Ellen was born but I'm just getting around to it now! Some of you know that when we found out we were pregnant, we were thinking we might be able to fix up some things around the house, put it on the market & get it sold before the baby arrived. HA! Once we realized that plan wouldn't work, we thought about keeping the extra bedroom as an office & having the baby in our room until we moved. Once again, we realized that wasn't really feasible & just decided to turn the office into our nursery. We rented a storage unit to get rid of some of our stuff & declutter the house. Even though we were committed to making it a nursery, we didn't want it to be too baby-ish for when we put it on the market so that potential buyers could see it as something other than a nursery. That's why we decided not to paint. Now I typically would NEVER have picked red for a nursery, but I have to say it has really grown on me. I think it steered the nursery decorating in a direction I would normally not have gone. So, here it is! I still need to get some artwork for the walls. I decided to leave that until we found out if the baby was a boy or a girl. Also, Jason & Katy offered to give us an original painting once we decide what we want. I also included some photos of some unique gifts we've received. We are so grateful to everyone for their generosity--even if there is no photo of your gift! Enjoy! (The photos are not the best--I was trying to get them done quickly during one of Ellen's cat naps!)
