Shuffle, Shuffle, Tap!

At the end of Ellen's summer dance camp, the parents were allowed in to watch them perform their tap dance.  Someone was pretty excited!
(OK it was me--but Ellen was pretty happy too!)

 Bravo!!!
 The whole gang :)
And yet another installment in the "Seies of Hams"

Our fish is back!

Well, a few visits to the Vandy Swim School and we are almost back to where we were last year!

Ellen is enjoying the water again and making progress which makes me happy :)

I'm sure her little sister will follow in her "fin"steps next summer!!!

Chillin'

Since it's so warm out in the summer in Tennessee and since Mary Elizabeth still can't wear sunscreen, we've been spending a lot of time indoors hanging out in the playroom.  Ellen's working on her drawing & cutting skills, while Mary Elizabeth's little personality is growing each day!  I'm so glad I get to spend this time with them during the summers!

Happy Birthday, America!!

Here's Ellen on her first July 4th in the same outfit :)

Vandy Swim School

Remember last year, when our little fish was swimming and jumping in the water on her own?!?!?  Well, I'm not what happened this year, but she has taken about 10 steps backwards in the pool.  She was still going in the pool and enjoying it but really wouldn't put her face in and only wanted to be on the stairs or using a flotation device.  Since I had Mary Elizabeth to keep up with while we were at the pool, I couldn't really give Ellen the time/encouragement she needed plus I think we had hit the stage where she didn't want to hear anything her mom said.  So, we signed up for Vanderbilt Swim School to see if we could get her over the hump!
Here she is on her first day!
She was already doing better and letting them dunk her under the water--which she wouldn't let me do!

She seemed to love going to "Vandervilt" (as she refers to it!)
 Floating on her back
Jumping in!
Here's to hoping that our little fish returns soon!

July 4th at ALC

For July 4th, Ellen's class at ALC had a parade.  Mary Elizabeth had a well visit at the doctor's that morning, but we got there in time for the picnic.

It was so nice to get to spend some time with her at school since normally I'd be at work during the day.
Happy July 4th!!!!
