Trick or Treat...take three!

Good Morning, Halloween!

Heading out to start the night...
Our little monster :) (or dragon depending on when you ask!)
 Snow White...

Ellen really cracked us up this year.  We had the talk ahead of time about being polite and saying thank you.  She would get her treat from each house and then as she walked away she would literally yell, "THANK YOU!!!!"
The power of technology:  getting watch a video of herself from moments earlier.

 Our crew

I've got to get better at taking Halloween pictures!  In the last three years, I don't think I've gotten a good one of Ellen in her costume alone or with Emma Claire...next year's resolution!

Halloween rehearsal

Today was Ellen's Halloween party at school...
Where she got these cool vampire teeth!!!
And then we had a little Halloween costume-test run at home (aka Grandma Nancy's).

Luckily the costume doesn't interfere too much with iPod time!

Pumpkin patchin'

After saying goodbye to our house, we were off on our annual pumpkin patch trip to Gentry's Farm with Melissa & Emma Claire.
Ellen was big enough to enjoy all of the climbing & sliding activities this year!

Farm animals are always a hit with kids, right?!?!?

 The hayride...

 BFFs????  Maybe...
 A perfect pick!

A great day was had by all!!!

Party of Four

Had I actually been up-to-date on updating this blog, this would probably be around the time that we would be making the official blog announcement that we are expecting #2 in the spring!  Luckily with a little planning and prayer, we were able to get pregnant pretty easily and couldn't be happier.  We are all very excited and can't wait to see how Ellen will be with a new baby brother or sister.  I think we will find out the sex this time around so stay tuned for an update in a couple of months!

Goodbye, 255 Colt Drive!

Since we sold the house pretty quickly, we ended up moving in with Grandma Nancy for a bit since we couldn't find a new place that we wanted to buy yet.  Ellen, Guinness & I ran by the house for a final walk through before our closing.  Here's our last look at our first house...

Looking out the new window we had to put in for the new owner
Last time in my first room!

It's pretty tricky to get a toddler & a dog to look at the camera at the same time!

I don't think Guinness wants to leave :(
As ready as I am to move on, it's a bit bittersweet.  This is the first home I bought, the first place JP & I picked out together, the place we brought Ellen home to...it will always have a special place in our hearts.  Now on to something new!  Hopefully we'll find a new home soon...

Disney on ICE!

Time to take in another show with our best buds, Melissa & Emma Claire.

We got there a bit early & had to wait awhile for the show to start.  When the girls wanted to know where the princesses were, Melissa told them that they were probably busy tying up their ice skates.  Emma Claire quickly responded that couldn't be it because princesses wouldn't tie their own skates!  Love that girl!

Yet another successful outing!
(And we did NOT coordinate their outfits ahead of time :)

Planking

Apparenly "planking" is all the rage in preschool these days...

My own set of wheels!

Yet another AWESOME hand-me-down from the Jones Family!!!!

(note the "For Sale" sign in the background--I think it had actually sold by this time but the sign stayed up until we closed in October.)

Not sure what is so perplexing in this next photo...
Apparently pushing the bike is much more effective than riding it!
