8 months (belated)

I did actually take these photos on her 8 month "birthday," but they weren't so good, so I planned on trying again when the lighting was better. But thanks to Mother Nature in February, it has been too cold to go outside to shoot and since it's been so gray outside, the lighting indoors hasn't been so hot either. Since we are getting close to 9 months now, I figured I just better go with these. At least they show her off in all her 8 month glory! I think my days of getting photos of her easily are over--she is everywhere!

Recent highlights include:

• lots of "dadadada"
• pulling up on everything!
• walking around with help
• sleeping through the night (14 + hours) for about 2 weeks--until teething kicked back in :(
• starting to get a bit of a temper when I don't get my way (although I've told her, it's WAY too early for that!)
• starting to dance--well, sway actually! We noticed this the other day for the first time while the Brady Bunch movie was on tv--don't ask! It was hysterical though!!
• Otherwise, she's still the sweet, happy baby we've grown to know and love!

Snow Day Update

Thank goodness for all the snow days we've been having lately...otherwise this blog would never get any attention! So, here's a bit of a catch up from the last couple of weeks: One of our new tricks: pulling up--on everything!

Notice the new Jason Erwin Art hanging in the nursery! It's not new to us--I bought it awhile back--but it is new to the nursery. I think it matches perfectly!Being more mobile = the ability to make more of a mess!Ellen's got a new friend...

that baby in the mirror is so much fun to laugh at, kiss and more! And, Ellen's last new trick--clapping. She LOVES clapping and does it all the time!
