Well, we finally did it--Ellen is baptized! We've been planning on having her baptism since the day she was born, but with out of town guests, other holidays and life in general, it was put off until now. She was baptized at the Cathedral of the Incarnation in Nashville, TN and is lucky enough to have two of the most amazing godparents--Chris & Melissa Jones. It was such a lovely ceremony and we are so glad that many of the important people in our lives were able to be there. They traveled long distances--through cancelled and delayed flights, nor' easters, the SEC basketball tournament and more--to come see our sweet baby become a part of the Catholic Church! We are so honored that you were able to be there with us!
(A note about the photos--they are not in sequential order. I am a bit too lazy right now to fight with the computer and reorder them all, so bear with me!)
These first two are at the Hutton Hotel where we had brunch after the ceremony. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a place with a private dining room. It was lovely and intimate...and Ellen enjoyed her first taste of pancakes!

It's a miracle--an actual family photo!
My HJ buds--and Ellen's "extra" grandmas! She is one lucky girl!

Awesome godparents!

Look for her 9-month photos to come soon--we've been battling a virus for the last week or so and a photo shoot has not been in the cards. We'll try one after we drop Grandma Kathe off at the airport tomorrow :(.
P.S. Thanks to Grandma Nancy for the beautiful christening gown. It was perfect!!!!
